That was the case with this multi-level carpark building next to Sydney’s Kingsford Smith Airport, which also houses public service businesses and reception areas. The building owners wanted to transform one of the existing vehicle ramps into a dedicated walkway for pedestrians, allowing people to move safely between the lower carparking zone and the pedestrian-friendly business area above. Raising Safety Standards at Te Whatu Ora Canterbury’s New Carpark
After a lengthy planning period, we were thrilled to deliver our Tru-Gard™ Anti-Climb Carpark Barrier for the new eight-storey staff carpark at Te Whatu Ora Canterbury District Health Board. Working alongside Naylor Love Canterbury, we supplied our certified safety barrier for this custom-built facility on Hagley Avenue, Christchurch, designed in close partnership with Ngāi Tahu to serve health board staff. Winning the tender more than two years before construction began meant patience was key—but when the time came, we were ready to manufacture and install safety measures that would stand the test of height and time. That’s why it was a privilege to support Martin Brower New Zealand during the construction of their new Auckland distribution centre – purpose-built to service McDonald’s restaurants across the country. Heavy-Duty Safety for Mondiale’s Auckland Hub
A big name in international freight, Mondiale VGL are experts in all things freight and logistics. Operating across some of the world’s most significant trade routes, by air and sea, their operations involve a constant flow of import and export moving parts. From container movements to pallet transfers and heavy-duty haulage, there are plenty of opportunities for health and safety risks. So, when they needed to add extra safety to their Auckland HQ, they knew who to call. Their Auckland office, situated near the country’s largest airport, is a constant hive of activity. The Mondiale team approached us to enhance health and safety around their warehouse. With busy walkways, exposed workstations, driver delivery zones, parcel conveyors, and a steady flow of traffic, they needed a robust solution to protect their people and maintain efficient operations. Delivering Safety at Scale for NZ Post’s New Super Depot
In high-volume logistics and parcel processing centres, we know safety is just as critical as speed. With large teams working alongside fast-moving machinery, vehicles, and thousands of parcels, every metre of the facility must be designed with protection in mind. So, when NZ Post set out to build their new ‘super depot’ in Grenada, Wellington, they knew our products would be up for the challenge. Spanning over 10,000m², this new depot is equipped with some of the world’s most advanced parcel sorting and scanning technology. But with hundreds of people on site every day, continuous traffic movement, and freight in constant flow, protecting people, infrastructure, and of course, precious cargo, was a top priority. Playing it Safe at Mount Smart Stadium
At times, it can be hard enough being a Wah’s fan, without the additional worry of being run over on the way to and from the game! Mount Smart Stadium, home of the NRL’s New Zealand Warriors, is a busy venue, welcoming tens of thousands of fans each year for sporting fixtures, concerts, community events, and other large-scale entertainment. Their stadium management team approached us to install our bollards around the perimeter of the grounds to keep pedestrians safe from traffic and prevent vehicles from parking too close to the stadium walls or gates. With limited vehicle access required at times, usually in the form of a golf cart, our team worked around the cart’s measurements while creating a much clearer and safer pedestrian zone. The Tru-Gard Solution: We supplied a combination of fixed safety bollards and removable bollards, allowing for flexibility in the event of future earthworks, construction, or emergency access. All removable bollards can be easily unlocked and removed when needed, ensuring both adaptability and security. It’s a great outcome for the Mount Smart Stadium management team and fans alike. Driving Safer Solutions for Port of Auckland
When New Zealand’s largest import port is building a five-storey car park, it requires a bespoke barrier solution. That’s where our custom manufacturing abilities, decades of experience, and commitment to safety come together to create one of our largest projects to date. The Tru-Gard Solution: Port management requested a custom-designed version of our standard Tru-Gard Barrier system, with 1100mmH support posts coated with a special XR coating system and finished in ‘safety yellow’ to match the rails. Every post is secured to the concrete with a 5-bolt footprint for maximum strength and stability. The top hand rail was specially designed with a square profile for easy attachment directly onto the support posts. Similarly, a lower guardrail of the same profile was added underneath the main barrier to ensure full safety for pedestrians, preventing accidental slipping through the gap and falling out of the building. This carpark building is located centrally in Auckland where both the main port and the city’s CBD come together within highly-populated proximity. Great effort has been put into making the building as attractive as possible in its setting, including a wonderful light show by night. It is an architectural sight to behold while also being one of the safest multi-story buildings in the city. __ __
